make_resourceful presentation

I want to thank everyone who came out to see my presentation at this years RailsConf. It was a lot of fun. Its good to have a crowd that is actually there to learn and listen. I’ve noticed that its a rare thing in conferences and makes me happy to be part of the Rails community.

One of the last comments I got was a strong request from the crowd to post the slides. SO, here it is. I’m about to get on 8 hours of flying starting at midnight tonight (pst) and end when I have to drive from Buffalo, NY to Toronto at 11am tomorrow morning. Oh boy! The life of a jet-setter…......

Here you go!

Can't wait to try out the plugin, I love what you said in the session about how it fundamentally changes the way you organize code in the model vs. the controller...

This presentation changed the way I look at controllers and rails development in general ... thanks for pointing me in the direction of skinny controllers and phat models.

Excellent talk. The handling of RESTful resources in with this plugin is elegant. I'm looking forward to giving it a spin.

This looks really exciting. But I'm curious why you went with an ApplicationController class method rather than a subclass of ApplicationController. Care to comment?
